The under 18s had a big win this morning, coming away from Enfield Community with a 7-1 victory, cementing their third place in the table.

Hendon put in their worst performance of the season by far this afternoon as they were beaten 5-1 at AFC Sudbury, resulting in the annual early exit from the FA Trophy.
Despite taking the lead through Lubo Guentchev after 16 minutes, the Greens were poor throughout the pitch and Rhys Darg equalised a few minutes later. By half-time it was 2-1 as Dave Wareham put the home side ahead.
AFC Sudbury took control of the game and scored three more times courtesy of James Baker, Darg and James Emmanuel to secure progression to the next round.

Today's game at AFC Sudbury will see Scott Cousins and Casey Maclaren both make their 100th appearance for the club.
Scott originally joined the club in the summer of 2003, and wasa regular in the side throughout the 2003/04 season, scoring 8 goals in 51 apperances. He left to join St Albans City in the summer of 2004, where he spent 5 years. He then moved on to Carshalton Athletic, before returning to Hendon during last season. Before today's game he has scored 13 goals for the club.
Casey signed for the club in the summer of 2007 from AFC Wimbledon, and has scored 19 goals during his time with the club despite missing much of the 2008/09 season with injury.
We congratulate both players on reaching their 100th appearance, and hope that both have many more ahead of them.

Hendon have been featured on ESPN's FA Cup Preview Show this morning, and the programme due to be repeated tomorrow night at 11.30pm.
The feature showed a brief interview with Mike Hogan, as well as Jamie Busby's goal against Maldon & Tiptree in the second qualifying round. They also showed Rod Haider's goal at Newcastle United in that famous third round tie in January 1974.

The club has been in discussions over the past couple days with Chelmsford City with regard to the arrangements for our forthcoming FA Cup tie. We can confirm that the game at Melbourne Park will be played on Saturday 6th November, kicking off at 3:00pm. Should a replay be required, it will take place at Vale Farm on Tuesday 16th November, kicking off at 7:45pm.
Admission prices for the game at Chelmsford will be £11 for adults, £7 for concessions and £3 for under 16s. There will be an additional £1 charge if you wish to sit in the stand. There are no plans to sell tickets in advance of the game, and we are not aware of any plans for segregation.
We have been made aware that due to the terms of Chelmsford's lease at Melbourne Park, musical instruments are not allowed in the stadium. Therefore, we advise any supporters who were intending to bring any instruments to leave them at home so as to avoid any awkward situations at the turnstiles.
Supporters are also advised that Melbourne Park is a no smoking stadium. However, there is a designated smoking area on the hard-standing outside of the clubhouse.
The admission prices for if a replay is required will also be £11 for adults, £7 for concessions and £3 for under 16s. There will not be an additional charge for the stand at Vale Farm.
In terms of travel, no decision has yet been made as to whether supporters will be able to travel on the team coach. A decision will be made on this by early next week.
If you are planning to travel by public transport, please be advised that there is engineering works between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. National Express East Anglia advises passengers should travel to Newbury Park on the Central Line, from where a direct bus will be available to take you to Ingatestone, from where you will be able to pick up the trains to Chelmsford. The Central Line, replacement bus service and trains between Ingatestone and Chelmsford will all be operating approximately every 10 minutes. The advice is to allow at least 90 minutes for your journey from Central London to Chelmsford Station.
Upon arriving at Chelmsford Station, there is a frequent bus service to the Melbourne area of the town, operated by First Bus. You should catch either a 54 or 56 towards North Melbourne (not Springfield) and they depart very close to the station.
If you are planning to drive to Chelmsford, please be aware that parking is limited at the stadium and the car park will fill up very quickly. If you do drive, it is likely that you will have to park on the roads nearby, and you are asked to show consideration to the local residents when parking your vehicle. The postcode for those using SatNav is CM1 2EH.
If you have any questions regarding the Chelmsford game, or indeed a possible replay, please email us at email@example.com and we will get back to you as quickly as we can.

Our focus on the pitch moves to the FA Trophy as Gary and the squad prepare for tomorrow's 2nd qualifying round tie at AFC Sudbury. We will be hoping that we can win a second game in the competition for the first time since 2004. Gary will be keen to ensure that the players are not distracted by our FA Cup tie next weekend, and that they concentrate on the job in hand.
We have never played AFC Sudbury before, they were formed from a merger of Sudbury Wanderers and Sudbury Town a few years ago. However, we did play at Sudbury Wanderers in the FA Cup in September 1994 when we won 1-0 courtesy of an own goal. We also travelled to Sudbury Town in the FA Cup, back in October 1989 when goals from Greg Zacharia and Martin McCayna saw us win 2-1.
AFC Sudbury did have one familiar face in their squad earlier this season, in veteran keeper Richard Wilmot, but he was unfortunately released a couple of week ago.
Our opponents have reached this stage of the competition courtesy of two away wins. In the preliminary round, they won 6-4 at Merstham, whilst in the first qualifying round they beat Canvey Island 2-1 at Park Lane. Their most recent game was on Tuesday evening, when they lost 5-3 to Bury Town in the Suffolk Premier Cup.
There are still spaces on the coach for tomorrow's game - priced at £10 each. If you would like to travel on the coach, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org before 9pm this evening.
Kick off at AFC Sudbury tomorrow is at the usual time of 3:00pm. If a replay is required, it will take place on Tuesday 2nd November at Vale Farm, kicking off at 7:45pm.

Hendon reached the first round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1999 this evening, following a 2-0 replay win at Metropolitan Police.
The Greens won the game with two goals in the first half, the first coming in the 28th minute when Belal Aite-ouakrim scored having been sent clear by a superb pass from Lubomir Guentchev.
The Bulgarian had a major part to play in the second goal, when his dummy left the home keeper and defence in a mess, and Casey Maclaren was able to slide the bal linto the unguarded net.
Despite a strong period of pressure in the second half from Metropolitan Police, the Greens held on for the win with a degree of security.
The next round sees us travel to Chelmsford City. The game will be played on Saturday 6th November, kicking off at 3.00pm. Full details of admission, and any coaches will be made available in the next few days. This in turn means that our league game at Tonbridge Angels has been postponed.

As everyone will be aware, we have a very important FA Cup replay at Metropolitan Police tomorrow evening, the winners of which will travel to Chelmsford City in the first round proper.
Should we win the replay, it will be our first visit to the first round since we travelled to Bath City and then Blackpool in 1999, both of which are days that will live long in the memory of those who were able to go.
Gary and the players will be keen to reproduce the same level of performance as on Saturday, whilst hopefully being able to take the chances when they come.
The squad would be delighted to see as many supporters as possible at the game tomorrow. The game kicks off at 7.45pm at Imber Court.
For those unable to attend, our normal live updates will be available via twitter and on the messageboard.

Chelmsford City are now awaiting the winners of our replay on Wednesday night after they beat Carshalton Athletic 3-2 at Melbourne Stadium this evening.
Chelmsford were 2-0 up within the opening 25 minutes courtesy of goals from Anthony Cook and Sam Higgins. However, by half-time the Robins were level thanks to excellent strikes from Justyn Roberts and Joel Ledgister.
The crucial moment came with ten minutes to go when Carshalton had Peggy Lokando sent off, and Higgins put Chelmsford back in front. In the dying minutes Carshalton were down to 9 men when David Obaze was also sent off, and Chelmsford were able to hold on to win.

Gary was slightly disappointed with the cup draw, but admitted that it has given us a great chance of reaching the second round.
"I am a little frustrated that we did not get a big team in the first round," he said, speaking soon after the draw was made.
"But, that said, I consider it to be a winnable tie 0 if, of course, we get through. It would have been lovely to get someone like Leyton Orient, as we did in 1997. That victory over them was one of the highlights of my career and a match I remember fondly.
"This team is certainly good enough to get through and I would like to think that we could cause an upset. If we win on Wednesday and get through against Chelmsford or Carshalton, I will be telling the players that we will be just 90 minutes away from maybe visiting Chelsea or Manchester United."

The first team will travel to Metropolitan Police on Wednesday evening for a replay following a 0-0 draw at Vale Farm this afternoon.
Hendon hit the bar twice during the first half, first of all with a header from a corner, and then an effort from Casey Maclaren. The visitors were reduced to ten men with 15 minutes to go when Ron Edwards was dismissed for bringing down Belal Aite-ouakrim just outside the penalty area.
Kick off for the replay on Wednesday will be at 7.45pm at Imber Court, and as a consequence, our planned home game against Lowestoft Town has been postponed.
The draw for the first round will be made tomorrow lunchtime, live on ITV1 at 12.30pm. We will update the website as soon as the draw has been made.

The first team go into Saturday's FA Cup tie against Metropolitan Police with the carrot of a possible first round tie against a football league club as the prize.
Metropolitan Police started a round earlier than the Greens, and began with a 6-0 win at Horley Town. They then won 2-1 at Godalming Town, before beating Burgess Hill Town by the same scoreline at Imber Court in the second qualifying round. Their victims in the last round were Wealdstone, who were beaten 2-1 after extra time in a replay at The Vale.
The two teams last met in the FA Cup in 2005 when the Metropolitan Police won 1-0 in a replay at Imber Court, following a goalless draw at Claremont Road.
Gary McCann and the players will be in a determined mood to make sure they do their best to ensure progression into the competition proper for the first time in eleven years. They hope to see as many supporters there as possible getting behind the team and creating a great atmosphere at Vale Farm.
Highlights of the game will be available on the FA website early next week.
Kick off on Saturday is at the usual time of 3.00pm, and if a replay is required, that will take place at Imber Court on Wednesday 27th October at 7.45pm.
The draw for the first round will be televised on ITV1 on Sunday lunchtime at 12.30pm. Should we be in the draw, our ball number will be 73.
There are no planned engineering works on London Overground, the Bakerloo Line or the Piccadilly Line, but please be aware that the Jubilee Line will be closed between Stanmore and West Hampstead, whilst the Metropolitan Line will be closed between Northwood/Uxbridge and Aldgate.

Tonight's draw at Maidstone was Gary McCann's 500th game with the club both as a player and a manager. In his time with us as a player, he made 196 appearances, and tonight was his 304th game in charge as manager.
We would like to congratulate Gary on this superb milestone - and we hope there are many more games to come in the forthcoming weeks, months and years.

It was honours even at Maidstone United this evening, as the game ended 2-2 on a chilly Kent evening. Maidstone were the better side in the opening period and deservedly took the lead in the 24th minute through Danny Hockton.
As has often been the case, Hendon fought back in the second half and equalised ten minutes into the period through Casey Maclaren. The Greens then took the lead in the 68th minute when Jamie Busby scored from the penalty spot after Belal Aite-Ouakrim had been fouled in the box. However, Maidstone were able to get back into the game courtesy of an 82nd minute equaliser from Joe Vines.

Hendon take a break from the cup action this evening as they travel to Maidstone United for a Ryman League fixture. Kick off at the Homelands is at 7.45pm.
Despite beating Burgess Hill Town 2-0 in the FA Trophy on Saturday, Maidstone parted company with manager Peter Nott yesterday afternoon. In a bizarre turn of events, the Stones parted company with their previous manager 24 hours before we visited Homelands last season!
Maidstone, who recently came undee new ownership, have had a rotten start to the season, and are currently bottom of the table with just 6 points from their 11 games. They will be hoping that a change of manager will see a change in fortunes that also saw them make an early exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Whitehawk.
Livescores will be operating during the game as normal, with updates appearing both on our twitter feed and on the messageboard, and the website will be fully updated shortly after the final whistle.

A headed goal from Lee O'Leary in the 64th minute was enough to take Hendon into the next round of the FA Trophy with a 1-0 win over Harrow Borough.
Harrow were by far the better side in the opening half, but they were unable to turn their domination into goals. Hendon's best first half chance fell to Lubo Guentchev, whose shot was well saved by Nick Jupp, and Kevin Maclaren was only able to fire the rebound wide of the goal.
The Greens were much brighter in the second half, and the goal came when O'Leary blasted a header home from a Jamie Busby corner kick. Harrow were reduced to ten men when Ronayne Marsh-Brown was sent off for violent conduct, and Hendon were then able to hold on for the win without any major scares.
The draw for the next round will be available sometime on Monday, and as always we will update the website as soon as it has been released.

Both sides are likely to field stronger sides, having both given squad players a game on Monday. It promises to be an exciting cup tie, and we hope to see as many of our supporters there as possible.
As you are aware, some of our supporters are walking to the game from Wembley Stadium, to raise money both for the club and for Rays of Sunshine. If you are not walking, and haven't yet sponsored one of the walkers, please either email us on firstname.lastname@example.org, or speak to any of the walkers on Saturday, and they will be pleased to relieve you of some cash, however small the amount.

Harrow were also in FA Cup action yesterday, and like ourselves progressed to the fourth qualifying round. They beat Hampton & Richmond Borough 2-1, with both of their goals coming from Rocky Baptiste.
We have already met Harrow once this season, that game coming in the league at Earlsmead where we ran out 3-2 winners, with Aaron Morgan scoring the first before Lubomir Guentchev scored a brace of penalties.
Tomorrow night's game must be played to a finish, with extra time and penalties if required.

Gary said "They were up for it and were really in our faces for the first 15-20 minutes, which meant we had to work really hard. However, at the end of the day we have progressed to the next round, and will now be in the spotlight of the FA cameras, which is something that I mentioned to the boys at half-time."

The first team reached the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup this afternoon with a 2-1 win at Whitehawk. The Greens took the lead in the 14th minute through Belal Aite-Ouakrim before Whitehawk fought back into the game with an equaliser courtesy of Paul Armstrong twenty minutes later.
Hendon regained the lead early in the second half through substitute Aaron Morgan, who was later replaced by Michael Peacock, who in turn lasted just three minutes before picking up an injury and being replaced by Danny Dyer. The win was marred in stoppage time when Jamie Busby picked up two yellow cards in quick succession and subsequently a red card. This means that he will miss the next round of the competition.
The draw for the fourth qualifying round will be made on Monday, and will be announced here as soon as it is available. As a result of our progression, our home game against Canvey Island has been postponed.

We return to the FA Cup trail on Saturday afternoon as we make the trip to the South Coast to face Whitehawk, who are in their first season in Ryman League Division One South.
Whitehawk were promoted from the Sussex County League in the summer, and have made a good start to the season and lie in 10th place with 12 points from their 8 games played so far. Last Saturday they began their first FA Trophy campaign with a 2-1 win at Ware.
In the FA Cup, they began in the Preliminary Round with a 4-0 replay win against Hartley Wintney, having drawn the original game 2-2. They then went on to knock out Maidstone United in the next round, winning 3-1, before winning 6-2 at Burnham in the last round.
Their best FA Cup performance came in 1988/89 when they reached the fourth qualifying round, before being knocked out by Bognor Regis Town. They will be keen to try and match that achievement, and it will be down to Gary McCann and the squad to make sure that doesn't happen.
There are still spaces on the coach that is going to the game. It will leave Vale Farm promptly at 10.30am, and seats cost just £10. If you would like to go on the coach, please email us on email@example.com before 6pm tomorrow evening.
Should the game at Whitehawk end in a draw, the replay will take place at Vale Farm on Monday evening, kick off 7.45pm.

Last night's game at Bury Town was Gary McCann's 300th competitive game in charge of the club since his arrival as manager in February 2005. Since that first game at Claremont Road against Cheshunt, he has overseen 236 league games and 64 cup matches.
Of those 236 league games, we have won 88, drawn 50 and lost 98, scoring 343 goals, and concededing the same number. 314 points have been attained.
In the 64 cup matches, we have won 31, drawn 11 (of which 4 have been won on penalties and 2 lost), and lost 22, scoring 135 goals and conceding 95.
That means in total under Gary's leadership we have won 119 games, drawn 61 and lost 120. 478 goals have been scored, with 438 conceded.
In addition to his 300 games in charge, Gary made 196 appearances as goalkeeper between March 1997 and September 2003, meaning that he is just 4 games away from having been involved in 500 Hendon first team games as either goalkeeper or manager.
Everyone connected with the club would like to congratulate Gary on reaching this milestone, and we are all looking forward to the next 100 games and beyond.

Bury Town have made highlights available of last night's game. Please note that in the highlights Lee O'Leary had to wear a shirt with no number for part of the game, and Casey Maclaren had to wear number 17 for part of the game due to both players having to change their shirts after getting blood on them.
The highlights can be found on the link below.

The first team had to come back from behind on two occasions to earn a point at Bury Town this evening, the game ending 2-2.
Bury took the lead in the 6th minute through Lee Reed, before Belal Aite-Ouakrim scored the first of the equalisers eight minutes later. Chris Henderson restored the lead for the home side in the 35th minute, but the Aite-Ouakrim equalised again on the hour mark to earn a point for the Greens.

The first team make one of the longer trips this evening as they travel to Bury Town for the club's first visit there. Bury have had a very similar start to the season to ourselves, and lie just one point and one place ahead of us in the table.
On Saturday, they won 3-1 at Tooting & Mitcham United, with goals coming from Kieran Leabon, Neil Andrews and Lee Read. Their squad has one notable name in the shape of James Scowcroft, who made his name playing in the Football League for the likes of Ipswich Town.
There are still spaces available on the coach tonight, which departs from Vale Farm at 3.15pm. If you would like to book a space, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org before 1pm.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to operate the livescores service this evening, but there will be a full update on the website later tonight.

Hendon continued their good start to the season this afternoon as they ran out 4-0 winners over troubled visitors Croydon Athletic at Vale Farm. It took 25 minutes for the Greens to finally make the breakthrough through Daniel Wishart on his debut, and just before halftime the home side made the game virtually safe with a quickfire double from Wishart and Jamie Busby. The Greens continued to probe throughout the second half and eventually Belal Aite-Ouakrim came through to finish the scoring in the 84th minute.
Croydon for their efforts look capable of springing a surprise or two during the remainder of the season and the Rams were cruelly denied late on when the ball crashed against the crossbar, but the Greens held on to keep the clean sheet and hold their playoff spot.

Hendon's Supporters team made their debut in IFA competition this season, playing at home to Barnet Supporters before this afternoon's fixture against Croydon. The Greens had a depleated squad and were without any substitutes as well as only one recognised defender, but managed to hold firm with a rear-guard action to improve on their previous defeat by Barnet to lose 7-0 (the previous scoreline being 9-1 to the Bees). Hendon nearly managed to claim one during the second half when the Barnet 'keeper spilled the ball in front of Michelle Vincent, but he managed to recover just in time to prevent the side's best chance of the day.
