New Years Day sees our fourth game of the season against Harrow Borough, and we are very hopeful that the game will go ahead as planned following the recent thaw. There are currently no plans for an inspection ahead of the game, but should the situation change, we will let you know straight away.
The first game was in August, when we won 3-2 at Earlsmead, Lubo Guentchev scoring a brace of penalties after Aaron Morgan had given us the lead. Troy Hewitt and Dean Marney were on target for Harrow.
Hewitt was on target again, along with Dewayne Clarke as Harrow won 2-1 in the league cup in October, Mariusz Serwin scoring for the Greens. Five days later in the FA Trophy, we won 1-0 thanks to a headed goal from Lee O'Leary.
Both sides are currently in good form in the league, with neither side having lost in their last six games. Games against Harrow are usually entertaining, and often closely fought, and this promises to be no different.
Travel to Vale Farm should be problem free, with services operating on the Bakerloo and Piccadilly all be it at slightly reduced frequencies to normal. London Overground and the buses will be operating to a normal Saturday service.
Kick off at Vale Farm will be at 3:00pm.

It won't come as any surprise that this afternoon's game at Billericay has been postponed due to a frozen pitch. Our next planned fixture is on New Years Day when we are due to host Harrow Borough at Vale Farm.

There will be a pitch inspection at 10:00am tomorrow morning to see whether our planned game against Billericay can go ahead or not. As soon as we hear from Billericay with the result of the inspection, we will update both the website and postponement hotline.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the supporters, players and club officials a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year. I can assure you all that this sustained period of inclement weather is as frustrating for the playing staff as it is for the supporters!
The management and squad are truly focused for the turn of the year and we honestly feel it could be one to remember for the right reasons. As always we are all in this together and the players will be needing as much support as possible in the months to come, so please remain with us and let us see where this promising start to the season can take us come the end of the season.
Have a good one!

All the players, management, staff and directors of Hendon Football Club would like to wish all our supporters and visitors a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We are very grateful for your continued support of the football club, supporters trust and supporters association throught the past year. Without your support, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the excellent performances the squad have been putting in so far this season.
We look forward to seeing you during what is going to be a very busy second half of the season as we look to kick on and challenge at the right end of the table, hopefully starting at Billericay on Monday.

On Monday afternoon, we are due to travel to Billericay Town for the first of our holiday fixtures. Clearly, whether the game goes ahead hinges on what the weather brings over the next 72 hours. As always, as soon as we get any updates from Billericay, we will update the website and the postponement hotline.
Our opponents go into the festive season in 8th place, just two spots head of us, and have 29 points from their 18 games. As with any side managed by Craig Edwards, they will be a tough side to beat. The good news for Hendon supporters is that there are no new reported injuries, and with the likes of Glenn Garner and Aaron Morgan having returned to action, the squad is rapidly nearing full strength once again.
Supporters travelling by public transport are advised that there are engineering works between Liverpool Street and Ilford. National Express East Anglia advise that you should travel to Newbury Park on the Central Line, and then there will be a rail replacement bus that will take you direct to Billericay. Buses are due to depart from Newbury Park at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour and take approximately 45 minutes to reach Billericay.
Kick off at New Lodge on Monday will be at 3.00pm.

Defender John Fletcher has been signed by Gary McCann ahead of what is going to be a busy second half of the season. John, who turned 24 yesterday, joins us from American side Ocean City Nor'Easters, having been with Kingstonian last season. John also spent a short period training with us last year before signing for the K's.
We warmly welcome John to the club, and hope that he has a long and successful time with us.

Hendon Under-21s and Under-18s (at home to Whitewebs in the Cheshunt Youth League) both had the weekend off as their scheduled fixtures were postponed due to the bad weather. Neither team will play again until the second weekend of 2011 as the two Leagues shut down their operations over the Christmas/New Year period.

It'll come as no surprise that following the heavy snow and extreme frosts over the weekend, that our game at Kingstonian this evening has been postponed.

Today's game against Margate has been postponed due an early morning heavy snowfall on an already frozen pitch. Several other games in Kent have already been postponed as well, including those at Folkestone, Tonbridge, Whitstable and Sittingbourne.
Posted at 09:07
We have just spoken to Margate and they are hopeful that tomorrow's game will go ahead. If a game was due to kick off at Hartsdown Park at 3pm today, there would have been no problems. With temperatures due to rise above freezing in Margate tomorrow, hopes are high of the game going ahead.
Clearly, things could change overnight, so Margate will reassess the situation at 9:00am tomorrow morning. Therefore the next update with regard to the game going ahead will be both on the website and the postponement hotline as soon as we hear from them tomorrow.

Our Middlesex Senior Cup tie at Hampton & Richmond Borough will now be played on Tuesday 8th February, kicking off at 7:45pm. As a consequence, we will travel to Tonbridge Angels on Tuesday 11th January as originally planned.

We are due to travel to Margate for a league match tomorrow, and we will be speaking to them later today to find out what the anticipated prospects of play are.
There will be a further update to the website once we have spoken to Margate, but please be aware that this update may not be available until after 11pm. Regardless of that, we intend to ensure the necessary steps are taken so that supporters avoid an unnecessary journey tomorrow. One game in the Ryman League has already been postponed tomorrow - that being Kingstonian's trip to Lowestoft Town.
If you are unable to get to the website, please call the postponement hotline on 07957 328352. This will be updated both this evening and tomorrow morning with the latest news on the prospect of play.
Margate, who have announced new stadium development plans this week, currently have 21 points from their 18 games, but have not played competitive for three weeks, although they did win 1-0 at Lewes in a friendly last weekend. Their last competitive game was at home to Tooting & Mitcham United, which ended in a 3-3 draw, and they have only won one of their last 10 competitive fixtures.
Gary McCann will be taking down a squad that is full of confidence, very keen to continue the recent run of good results and determined to move the club further up the league table.
As mentioned above, we will update the website and postponement hotline once we have spoken to Margate later today - but that update may not be available until very late this evening due to other commitments that your website team have this evening.

A last minute extra time winner from Lubo Guentchev took Hendon into the quarter-finals of the Middlesex Senior Cup at Wingate & Finchley this evening.
The Greens took the lead through Glenn Garner in the 18th minute, his first goal of the season, before Josh Cooper equalised ten minutes later.
Cooper gave the home side the lead in the 55th minute, before Garner scored his second of the evening midway through the half. There were no further goals in normal time, which took the game into extra time. The winning goal came very late in the second period of extra time when Guentchev found the back of the net.
Two players made their first team debuts in the game, Jon-Jo Bates and Barkley Miguel Panzo both coming on as second half substitutes.

Tonight sees our second attempt to play our Middlesex Senior Cup tie at Wingate & Finchley. With temperatures having remained above freezing last night, and not due to drop too low tonight, hopes are high that the game will be played.
As always, if an inspection is required, or if there is a postponement we will update the website and postponement hotline straight away.
Please note that Livescores will not be operating this evening, but there will be a full update on the website shortly after the end of the game.
Kick off at Summers Lane this evening will be at 7.45pm, and the game will go to extra time and penalties if required.

The under 18s made it a complete set of wins for the clubs three teams with a 9-0 demolition of Jubba Youth. Bradley Ambrose led the way with four goals, whilst Hassan Dugunyurdu scored three. Barkley Miguel Panzo and Daniel Malley also found the back of the net.

Alternatively you can email him on email@example.com to find out how to buy some tickets. Eddie will also be delighted to send you tickets to sell to your family and friends. The two winners will be contacted by the supporters trust in the next few days.
It's never too late to join the snowball draw, numbers cost just £5 per month and give you a chance to share in the monthly prize fund which is currently just over £400.
The December draw, along with the annual snowball jackpot draw will be made on New Years Day at half-time of our game against Harrow Borough. The jackpot is expected to be over £1000.

Three players were sent off this afternoon, two for Folkestone and one for Hendon as the Greens won 2-1 at Vale Farm this afternoon.
Lubomir Guentchev gave the Greens the lead in the 21st minute, before Josh Vincent equalised early in the second half. The game exploded in the 63rd minute when Vincent reacted to a challenge from Casey Maclaren. Following the ensuing fracas, both Vincent and Maclaren were sent off.
Hendon regained the lead through Brian Haule, his first goal since returning to the club, before Folkestone were reduced to nine men with three minutes to go when Darren Smith saw red for a poor challenge.

The under 21s had a comfortable afternoon as they ran out 5-1 winners against St Lawrence this afternoon.
Daryl Atkins led the way with three goals, whilst Ercan Yildirim and Conrad Lewis also found the back of the net.

There was no frost at Vale Farm last night, so consequently today's league match against Folkestone Invicta goes ahead as planned. Kick off is at 3.00pm.
Posted at 11:14
It is looking very hopeful that we will play our league game against Folkestone Invicta tomorrow afternoon. With temperatures at Vale Farm well above freezing today, and not expected to drop below freezing overnight, there are currently no plans for a pitch inspection.
Folkestone are finding life tough in their first season back in the Premier Division and currently lie in 18th place with 15 points from 17 games, and their most recent game was on Tuesday evening when they drew 0-0 with Horsham.
We last met in the 2007/08 season when we won 4-0 at Folkestone, goals coming from Wayne O'Sullivan (2), Casey Maclaren and Brian Haule, whilst both Maclaren and Haule were on target in the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture.
Gary McCann will be keen that we get a good result to ensure that we don't lose touch with the play-off chasers, and your support in cheering the players on will be crucial.
There are no major engineering works on the London Underground that are likely to affect journeys to Vale Farm. The Bakerloo, Piccadilly and London Overground lines should all be operating a normal service. If you are travelling by car, please allow some extra time as roads are likely to be busy in the Wembley and Harrow areas due to Christmas shopping crowds.
Kick off at Vale Farm will be at 3.00pm, the bar will be open from 12.00pm and the turnstiles from 2.00pm.
Should the weather situation change, we will of course update the website and postponement hotline as normal, but otherwise it is safe to assume that the game is going ahead.

We have a number of vacancies for match ball sponsors through the second half of the season, and are actively looking for people who may be interested in the scheme. We are delighted that we have found sponsors for all our home games played so far, up to and including Saturday's game with Folkestone, but have numerous gaps throughout 2011.
The package, which costs £80 per match, includes a complimentary ticket, complimentary programme, credit in the programme, on the website, and on the match report page on the website.
A full list of the available games, along with the application form can be found on the link below.

Daniel Wishart has returned to Hayes & Yeading United following the expiration of his loan spell.
The 18 year old striker made 11 appearances for the Greens during his time with us, scoring 3 goals, all of which came in the two league games against Croydon Athletic.
We would like to thank Daniel for all his efforts over the past couple of months, and we wish him well as he continues to develop his career. We would also like to thank Hayes & Yeading for their co-operation in allowing us to take Daniel on loan.

Tonight's postponed game at Wingate & Finchley will now be played next Tuesday, 14th December, kicking off at 7:45pm. This in turn means that our planned home game against AFC Hornchurch will require a new date.
Posted at 16:16
This evening's game against Wingate & Finchley has unfortunately been postponed following an inspection as their pitch has remained frozen despite the sunshine today.
Clearly, as the pitch was still frozen at the time of the inspection at 3.00pm conditions were not going to improve between then and kick off time and therefore the game was called off.
A new date for the game will be announced in due course.

Wingate & Finchley have just been in touch with us to let us know that they have arranged a pitch inspection to take place around 3:00pm.
They are hopeful that the sun will help lift the frost from the pitch, and the game will be played. We will update the website and the postponement information line as soon as we hear the result of the inspection.

Gary McCann has signed one of our under 18 squad on first team forms following some impressive performances so far this season.
18 year old Barkley Miguel Panzo, who was born in Paris, joined the under 18s having been with FK Banik Most who play in the Czech Republic second division last season. He is a striker who has been on the scoresheet several times already this season, and we look forward to seeing him in the first team squad.

Frost permitting, we are due to travel to Wingate & Finchley this evening for our second round Middlesex Senior Cup tie. Kick off at Summers Lane is at 7.45pm.
Wingate, who received a bye to this round, are currently top of Division One North, with 37 points from 19 games. Their most recent game was in the league cup last week when they beat Wealdstone on penalties following a 2-2 draw. There is one familiar face in the Wingate squad in the shape of James Bent, who left us in the summer.
At the time of writing, there is no news on the likelihood of play, but as soon as we hear from our hosts, we will update the website, and the postponment information line (07957 328352).

Hendon were beaten 4-1 by Hayes & Yeading United this morning in a friendly that was hastily arranged following the decimation of today's main fixture programme.
The Greens toko the lead in the 16th minute through Lubomir Guentchev, but Hayes equalised just five minutes later through Adrian Patulea and then Graeme Montgomery put our opponents ahead just before the half-hour mark.
Goal number three for Hayes came in the 78th minute when Patulea scored his second of the game, and Andy Yiadom completed the scoring with seven minutes to go.

It'll come as no surprise that tomorrow afternoon's game against Sutton United has fallen foul of the adverse weather conditions and has been postponed. A new date will be advised in due course. Our game is the seventh in the division to be called off.

Club secretary Graham Etchell has just left Vale Farm, and has reported that the pitch and all surrounding areas are currently covered in snow - up to a couple of inches in places. With temperatures not forecast to rise above freezing over the next 36 hours, there seems little likelihood of a thaw taking place in time to allow Saturday's game to go ahead.
However, as we all well know, things can change dramatically weather wise, and we will reassess the situation tomorrow afternoon, with a view to updating you all further tomorrow evening with details of the latest conditions as well as any plans for a pitch inspection.
If you are unable to check the website, please call the new postponement information service on 07957 328352 for the latest news on whether Saturday's game is likely to go ahead or not. Please do not call the main club number for updates.
