Tuesday 21 November - Disappointing evening in Kent

Hendon went down to a third defeat in two months against Ramsgate this evening, this time going down 3-0 in the away league game at a cold Southwood. Following another goalless first half, during which Ross Pickett, Brian Haule and Jon Munday all came close to scoring, the Greens were reduced to ten men when Dean Green was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity. Ramsgate took the lead a minute later through Dean Hill, Michael Yianni extended the lead in the 64th minute before Stuart Vahid completed the scoring on the stroke of full time.

Saturday 18 November - Comfortable win for Clarets

Chelmsford City ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in the end at a chilly Claremont Road this afternoon. After a fairly even goalless first half, the Essex side showed their quality and experience after the break and took the lead five minutes in through Jason Hallett. The lead was doubled about fifteen minutes later when Jeff Minton converted a spot kick that was given for a clear push in the box and the third goal came in the 74th minute courtesy of Ben Chenery. Hendon's best chance to get back in the game came when Lee O'Leary saw his shot rebound off the inside of the post and back into play. Without doubt, Chelmsford will be one of the teams challenging for the title at the end of the season.

Thursday 16 November - Excellent evening with Peter Taylor

Tonight saw a good turnout for the evening with former Hendon player-manager Peter Taylor. Peter spent nearly 2 hours answering questions from those present about his time both as a player and a manager at numerous clubs, as well as his time as England U21 manager. The evening raised around £900 for the trust. The trust board would like to thank Peter for kindly giving up his time for free this evening and would also like to thank Steve Lytton for acting as compere. It is hoped that similar evenings will be arranged in the future.

Tuesday 14 November - Peter Taylor on Thursday

A reminder that the Supporters Trust next fundraising event takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday evening when they are holding An Evening with Peter Taylor. The trust is urging all supporters to support this fundraising event. If the trust is to be able to ensure the continues existence of Hendon Football Club, it is imperative that between us all we maximise the income for the trust. The trust board has been working tirelessly to develop fundraising ideas but there is only so much that they are prepared to do if supporters will not help out.

Tickets are piced at £15.00 each and are available on the door on the night.

Hendon won their second league game in a row, and in the process moved off the bottom of the table and within three points of safety beating East Thurrock United 2-1 this afternoon. Both Hendon goals came from the penalty spot, the first in the 29th minute when Brian Haule was pulled down in the area, and Dean Green converted the spot kick. Ten minutes into the second half East Thurrock equalised thanks to James Bunn, but within two minutes the Greens were back ahead as Green converted his second penalty after Lee O'Leary was pulled down just inside the box. The Greens then held on to win the game with the defence snuffing out anything the Essex side had to offer.

Saturday 11 November - Non-League Paper in merger

In one of the most exciting developments in sports publishing, The Non-League Paper and The League Paper will be amalgamating to form The Football Paper from Sunday November 12th. Non-League lovers will still have their very own newspaper, however, as The NLP will be a self-contained 64-page newspaper printed inside a 56-page Football Paper. Those 56 pages will contain extensive coverage of the Football League - in the style of the current Football League Paper, with the addition of Premiership match reporting and news plus a view of the Scottish and Irish scene. The cover price for this 120-page tabloid newspaper will be £1.50.

Simon Burrell, managing director of BHT Media, owners of The Non-League Paper and The League Paper, said: "This is an exciting and logical development of the two brands." David Emery, editor in chief and founder editor of The Non-League Paper in 2000, said: "For the first time football fans will be able to receive complete coverage of the national game in one package. We are securing the services of several fine columnists who will bring incisive comment, expert analysis and some wit to Sunday mornings. We are mindful that our very loyal Non-League readers must continue to receive the high standard product they demand and we assure them everything will be in place as before - they will simply have another 56 pages of football to read if they choose to do so."
