A 116th minute winner from Belal Aite-Ouakrim earnt Hendon a London Senior Cup semi-final trip to AFC Wimbledon as the Greens beat Harrow Borough 2-1 this evening. AFC Wimbledon, who now play in League 2, beat Metropolitan Police 5-0. The date for the semi-final will be announced in due course.
The Greens fielded a much changed side, whilst Harrow were close to full strength. The first half was largely uneventful, other than a fierce drive from Dave Diedhiou that hit the woodwork.
It was a similar story in the second half, until the 70th minute when Aite-Ouakrim scored his first of the evening, turning home a cross from Elliott Godfrey following excellent work from Jerome Federico. However, just seven minutes later, Harrow were level when poor defending at a corner allowed Aaron Tumwa to turn the ball into the net.
The first half of extra-time saw very little goalmouth action, whilst shortly before Aite-Ouakrim scored what turned out to be the winner, Harrow striker Jon-Jo Bates took his turn to hit the woodwork, and after the Aite-Ouakrim's goal, the Greens held out to secure the victory and progression to their second semi-final of the season.

Former Arsenal striker Isaiah Rankin is fast becoming a super-sub for Hendon as he scored his 3rd goal in 3 league games, all three coming after entering the game as a substitute.
Today's goal came in the 82nd minute when a backpass from a Lowestoft defender was poorly judged, the ball looping over the keeper for Rankin to run on to and nod home.
Ten minutes earlier, Berkley Laurencin was relieved after he took an airshot at the ball, ran back to retrieve the situation, only to blast the ball against a Lowestoft player - the ball fortunately hitting the woodwork and going out for a goalkick.
Apart from that, chances were few and far between, Carl McCluskey and Elliott Godfrey both seeing efforts blocked, whilst the Hendon back four were in fine form once again, limiting the visitors to half-chances.
The result moves the Greens up to 4th place in the table, just two points behind 3rd placed Lowestoft.

The Non-League Paper have chosen our game against Lowestoft Town to be their feature Ryman League game this weekend. With the game being a big clash on paper, 5th v 3rd, it promises to be a good game this afternoon.
Lowestoft's form has wobbled of late, with just seven points taken in their last six games, whilst the Greens have been in good form, picking up 13 points over the same period, with just the solitary defeat at leaders Billericay Town in recent weeks.
There will be an extended 450-word report in the paper, along with photos from the game and post-match reaction, so make sure you pick up your copy tomorrow morning from your local newsagent or supermarket.

A 35 minute goal from Carl McCluskey was enough to see the Greens reach the semi-finals of the Middlesex Senior Cup tonight as they beat Hanworth Villa 1-0.
The goal came courtesy of a near post header from a corner kick, in a game that saw the visitors reduced to ten men in the 78th minute.
A trip to either Hampton & Richmond Borough or Bedfont Town awaits, and they are due to play their quarter-final tomorrow evening.

The club have announced today that Lewis Hunt has left us to join Sutton United, whilst Leandre Lohourignon has joined us from Lewes.
Hunt, who made just one appearance for the club in the 1-0 win at Metropolitan Police, had joined us as a favour to Junior Lewis, with whom he played at Wycombe Wanderers. He made his debut for Sutton on Saturday and we wish him well for the future.
Meanwhile, 21 year old defender Lohourignon made just one appearance for Lewes, that coming in a league cup tie against Folkestone Invicta. He has previously played for AFC Sevenoaks, Croydon Athletic and Beaconsfield SYCOB.
We welcome Leandre to the club, and hope that he enjoys his time with us.

Hendon remain in 5th place in the league table despite winning 1-0 at Leatherhead this afternoon. In the Greens first trip to Fetcham Grove since 1983, it took an 88th minute goal from Isaiah Rankin to secure the points.
The first half was disappointing from the Greens, whilst they had plenty of possession they did very little with it, and were fortunate not to go in behind at half-time after Leatherhead hit the bar with a fierce drive midway through the half.
The Greens improved in the second period, and Rankin's goal came when he drove the ball home through a small crowd of players into the corner of the net, with the Tanners keeper unsighted.

Hendon were given an idea of the level they need to reach if they wish to challenge for the league title as they were beaten 2-1 at Billericay Town this evening.
The efforts of the home side to clear the snow from the New Lodge pitch paid dividends as goals in the 58th and 80th minutes from Harrison Chatting gave them a two goal lead, before, just like in the reverse fixture at Vale Farm, Isaiah Rankin fired home in stoppage time to score a consolation, having hit the post shortly before hand.

We are delighted to announce that tonight's game at Billericay Town will go ahead as planned.
Billericay's officials and supporters have put in sterling work over the weekend to clear the New Lodge pitch of snow. Their efforts have been rewarded by the improvement in the weather, and the pitch this morning is playable.
Kick off at New Lodge will be at 7:45pm, and for those who are unable to go, our normal livescores service will be in operation.

Hendon were beaten 5-2 by Dagenham & Redbridge this afternoon, with the Daggers starting the game with a full strength line-up.
The first half of what was a very enjoyable game ended level at 2-2, with Greg Ngoyi and Dave Diedhiou on the scoresheet for the Greens, but the Daggers class showed through in the second half.
Both sides will have gained plenty from the game, and will now go into next week ready for league action should games be able to go ahead.
There was an added boost for Hendon with the return to action of Casey Maclaren, who came on as a substitute in the second half.

We are sure that it'll come as no surprise that the prospects of play tomorrow evening are extremely doubtful following the snowfall over the weekend.
